The Pure Stodge Touring Association is made up of motorcycle enthusiasts in the eastern Iowa area who enjoy fine machinery, scenic rides, and good company.
PSTA is a chartered member of the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America (#30) and the BMW Rider’s Association (#335). While it is a sanctioned BMW club, we welcome dedicated riders of all makes interested in furthering the purposes of PSTA.
Club members meet regularly to discuss club topics including upcoming club events and non-club sponsored activities such as group rides and trips.
The biggest club sponsored activity is the Iowa BMW Motorcycle Rally that has been going strong since 1976! It attracts nearly 200 attendees from all parts of the country. Our club members work hard at putting on a rally that everyone will enjoy. Check out the Rally section for Rally information.

My only regret about getting my motorcycle license is that I didn't get it when I was young. I didn't start riding until my early 40s. A couple women at work were going to take a motorcycle class and I thought why not me? A guy at work had a BMW and I fell in love.... with him and the bike. Been together for over 20 years now. After my first long ride of about 200 miles, I was really hooked. We rode the country for 3 years then moved to a sailboat in the Caribbean. After 4 years we missed riding so much that we came back to the states. We didn't want the harsh winters of MN, so we stopped at Gina's, bought bikes and roamed the country for a year. We hit 23 states that summer. We decided to settle down and Gina, of Gina's BMW needed help. I started helping her out and eventually became Parts and Apparel Manager. Best job I ever had! I now ride a CanAm and love that this group still accepts me. Ride safe!

Lauren and I have been married 52 years. We have been members of PSTA for 11 years We have 2 children and 6 grandchildren, two of which are getting married this summer. We enjoy camping with our psta friends and I enjoy crocheting and knitting

RANDY FRY - DIRECTOR
I’m a retired Manager and Process Improvement Engineer. I bought my first motorcycle, a Kawasaki F6 125 enduro in 1971. My first BMW was a new 1996 R1100 RT and now I ride a 2018 R1200 GSA. My wife Jane rides a 2013 F800 GS and all 3 of my adult children ride. PSTA member since 2012.
